Location

Welcome to Bourgogne (Burgundy in English).  Bourgogne is a region in East-Central France whose capital is Dijon;  it's comprised of four departments:  Yonne, Nièvre, Côte-d'Or, and Saône & Loire.  I'm in Saône & Loire within a wine region called Côte Chalonnaise, which borders the even more famous Côte-d'Or.

Distance from Paris by car:  3.5 hours
Distance from Paris by TGV:  1hr 10 min
Distance from Geneva by car:  2.5 hours
Distance from Geneva by train:  2.5 hours
Distance from Lyon by car:  1.5 hours
Distance from Lyon by train:  45 minutes

La Ruche is in a pretty, remote (and pretty remote) country location.  You will need a car for your stay; cars can be rented at the local train station from Avis or Europcar on site (otherwise Hertz and Enterprise are nearby).  My place is 15 minutes from the train station.
